The Committee on STEM Education (CoSTEM) was created from a partnership of thirteen other organizations whose goal is to increase awareness and interest in the STEM field. CoSTEM aims to get more funds, access, and interest for STEM education in public schools, grades K-12, as well as undergraduate and graduate programs. They also work to get more access to demographics that are currently underrepresented in STEM. Take note here, ladies – women are significantly underrepresented (but needed) in STEM careers. CoSTEM even offers research and grant programs to support STEM education.
